• From Rathfarnham in the 19th century foundations were made in India, Canada, Australia, South and East Africa, Mauritius and Spain. From these, branches
• have spread in the United States and South America and more recently, Nepal, Vietnam, Thailand, Uganda, Bangladesh Bolivia, Morocco, Mongolia and Tanzania .
• In 1977 the Central administration was transferred from Rathfarnham to Rome
• Now, the Loreto Sisters (IBVM), which has more than 4000 members, ministers in 34 countries on 6 continents.
• There are 119 Loreto schools in 12 countries on 6 continents.
• There are 70,000 Loreto students worldwide
• There are over 3,500 teachers in Loreto Schools.
• There are over 1,400 support staff employed in Loreto Schools.
